Iranian filmmaker Fard-Qaderi to judge at Bogura Int’l fest

Iranian writer/director Mehdi Fard-Qaderi has joined the jury grid of the 2nd Bogura International Film Festival (BIFF) in Bangladesh.

Previously, Fard-Qaderi judged at the 16th Ischia Film Festival in Italy and the 57th Brno16 International Short Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

Following ‘Immortality’ and ‘Weightlessness’ feature films, Fard-Qaderi has recently embarked on his latest cinematic film production named ‘Afflicted’.

Other short films directed by this promising Iranian filmmaker includes ‘The Story of a Rainy Night,’ ‘Life of Sun,’ ‘Gramophone’ and ‘Reverse Circles,’ which have been honored at several Iranian and international screening events.

‘Immortality’, which is a one-shot feature film, is the recipient of the best feature film at the 15th Ischia Film Festival.

‘Weightlessness’ was also crowned best at the 3rd Insolito International Horror and the 2020 Fantasy Film Festival in the Peruvian capital of Lima.

Fard-Qaderi is also the producer of the Iranian feature film ‘The Son’ directed by Noushin Meraji.

The upcoming edition of the BIFF) will take place in Bangladesh from December 23 to 26, 2021.
